KLCC Park Painting Workshop

As part of KLCC’s programming leading up to Hari Merdeka (Malaysia’s Independence Day) celebrations in 2023, I facilitated an intuitive abstract painting workshop at KLCC Park. The free-and-easy painting workshop was free for the public to join and comprised of two sessions, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.

The painting workshop was an opportunity for members of the public to reconnect with nature and their creative spirit. Reflecting on what ‘Merdeka’ (Independence) means to them. Participants were provided with canvases, easels and art supplies to express themselves through painting.

Throughout the session, I advised them on the usage of art materials, techniques, colour theory and other art fundamentals. At the end of the workshop, the participants brought their artworks home as a reminder of their expression of creativity and independence.
